  1. Every ad uses the appeals. I liked the: VW, Honda. These ads are effective in the ways that I like automotive technology and I am a big nerd on the parts used in the honda ad. The VW ad is effective at least to me, since I drive a VW Jetta and she handles very well in the snow and I had semi racing tires on it. Some ads like the dove start very weird and then gives you a shock, like its something you have to think about telling your daughter. The union carbie ad really gets me angry, I had chicks when I lived in Mexico.

  2. It was awesome that I got to see the origin of the "Got Milk?" ads. I was also very relieved that the planters commercial was last. When she picked her seat I had to walk away from my laptop for a second.

  5. The Darth Vader one was really good. I think it had the appeals of the need to dominate and need for affiliation because the commercial makes you feel "cool" if you use their product.

  6. The snow covered ad was very creative. I like ones that you never see coming or take a minute to catch on. I felt the need to achieve and the need to dominate were the main appeals used in this ad. What appeals do you think help sell the most product overall?

    1. That one was cool. I like how they used "She's a Rainbow" by The Rolling Stones. It really added to it.

  8. Please don't make me watch or read things that deal with putting animals in dangerous situations. I couldn't help but wonder how many chicks they had to go through before they got it right... Also, some of the stuff the announcer claimed was totally bogus! Like having hot coffee after it had been in the freezer for a month?

  9. Oh my goodness! The Planters Peanut Perfume was my favorite. I thought it was hilarious. That girl did such a good job at letting men fall all over her. I also thought Dove Onslaught did a very very good job. During that commercial I was feeling like I wanted to talk to my children when one day I have some. Did any of the commercials touch you?

  11. I have two thoughts on this one.
    A) The Planters Peanuts ad was hilarious! I couldn't figure out what she was doing to get all of the attention--definitely kept me hooked, not to mention it was so funny! I guess I could've put two and two together by reading the title of the ad...I guess that shows how effective the ad really was!
    B) I love how now that it's the end of the semester, there is this sudden onslaught of comments on the blog...shame ;)
